From July 1st 2013 on, the new Construction Products Regulation has entered into force. This European regulation (EU nr 305/2011) is replacing the Construction Products Directive and aims to improve traceability, transparency and confidence of the CE marking of construction products through the whole construction chain.

This implies that producers of construction materials have to supply a Declaration of Performance (DoP) for the construction products which have a CE marking. This Declaration of Performance gives more information about the performances of the product regarding to the intended use. The quality of the products remains unchanged since the harmonised European standards on which de CE marking is based remain unchanged.
